Where do we meet?
For the historic walking tour, we will meet at 704 Front Street which is a city park located on the corner of Front and Screven Streets and across the street from the Town Clock. For the Francis Marion walking tour, we will meet at 801 Front Street which is Francis Marion Park.
Where can we park?
You may park in either the Orange Street Parking Lot or the Screven Street Parking Lot. Both are within two blocks of where we meet. There is no charge or time limit in the parking lots or on any of the side streets. Parking on Front Street is restricted to two-hour parking.
Will there be public restrooms close by?
Public restrooms are located in the city park at 704 Front Street.
What do we need to bring?
Comfortable walking shoes are a must along with a bottle of water for thirsty throats. You may also want to spray yourself with insect repellent just in case the mosquitoes are hungry.
What do we do if the weather is bad?
If the weather appears threatening for the tour, I will either call or text to let you know the tour has been canceled and when a make-up time is available.
What is the cost and how do we pay?
The walking tour is $20 per person. We do not take credit cards so payment by cash or check is accepted at the end of your tour. Gratuities are appreciated.
What if we’re running late?
Do not trust your GPS to tell you Georgetown SC is only XX minutes away.
Plan ahead to avoid traffic jams, possible delays and/or accidents on highways coming into Georgetown SC.
What if we have to cancel?
Please call or text 843-546-3745 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your tour.
